Introducing: the very first designer collaboration from Free People.
The House of Zandra Rhodes is excited to announce its designer collaboration with lifestyle brand Free People, for a limited-edition capsule collection this summer.
The collaboration came to life after Free People’s Chief Creative Director Ana Hartl joined Zandra in her inspiring London studio to delve into her extensive print archives from the past 50 years.
Together they identified four standout Zandra prints inspired by her travels which complimented the brand’s signature silhouettes to create a capsule of eight timeless pieces that unapologetically infuse high fashion with a more relaxed style.
The collection takes you through a journey of Zandra’s eponymous designs. One of Zandra’s original prints ‘Stars’ is a nod to the mood of mid-sixties Carnaby Street and adorned on the brands much loved signature exaggerated flares and relaxed tee. Complemented by softer feminine shapes, the ‘Frilly’ and ‘Shells’ prints were inspired by nature and painterly interpretations of shell gardens she found on the British seaside in the 1970’s.
These prints can be seen across an elegant flowy maxi dress (a Free People customer summer favourite!), a flirty mini dress, a wide leg halter jumpsuit, a whimsical kimono and a made to be bold skirt co-ord. Zandra’s famous turn-around print inspired by her travels to central America – can be found embellished onto a statement leather biker jacket.
