Zandra Rhodes: 50 Years of Fabulous at The Fashion and Textile Museum

In September 2019 Zandra launched a retrospective exhibition at the Fashion and Textile Museum to celebrate her 50 years in fashion. Founded by Zandra in 2002, the museum houses her studio and is synonymous with the brand. The exhibition was opened by Princess Michael of Kent and attended by Zandra’s friends, family and fellow creatives. 

This comprehensive retrospective traverses fifty years of a fascinating and varied career, presents  influential looks, original textiles and archive material. Having worked closely on the development of the exhibition, Zandra’s hand is recognisable throughout.

The exhibition is accompanied by the book Zandra Rhodes: 50 Fabulous Years in Fashion, published by Yale University Press and written by Dame Zandra Rhodes and Head of Exhibitions at The Fashion and Textile Museum, Dennis Nothdruft.
